We have a strong track of record of growth and are looking for a skilled VP of Software Development with effective leadership skills and strong problem-solving abilities. As VP of Software Development, you will manage a team of one of the top two insurance data aggregators and analytics shops in the U.S. You will actively participate in developing a clear technology strategy, including development and operational standards that create a robust technical environment, play a leadership role on major technology decisions and initiatives in a manner that will enable the overall Technology Function and the Business to achieve its long-term objectives.

-You will lead your team in the execution of the business’ technology strategy and solutions.

-Your team will build a flexible architecture that allows rapid changes to established processes and new product additions.
  1. They will deliver expedient, yet highest quality, product releases with adherence to release schedules and customer expectations.
  2. They will be able to do this because you will have created a results-oriented culture focused on hitting milestones and achieving goals and created a well communicated roadmap for product delivery.

-You will facilitate the prioritization of business and product requirements within the product development group, set timelines, and manage expectations for all deliverables and releases.

-Staff development will be a high priority to ensure that your team has the right set of skills and capabilities in the right places at the right time.

-To qualify for this opportunity you will have had a minimum of 15 years of experience in a global matrixed corporate setting; with a minimum of 8 years at various management leadership levels; with extensive technical development, operational and leadership skills.

-Your educational qualifications will include a BS or BA in Computer Science (or equivalent experience); if you have a Graduate Degree, even better!

-You will have strong organization skills with the ability to present technical decision support in a consistent and relevant manner.

-You will bring your expertise of leading multiple agile teams to the position. On the tech side, you will have intimate knowledge of SDLC, SOA/Web Services, APIs & Internet Protocols. XML data standards, .NET, Java, and SQL.

-You have experience with Cloud-based solutions.
