Job Description


Title:  Senior Windows Application Developer                    Reports to:  Development Manager

Department:  Claims Solutions Engineering                      Classification:  Full Time Exempt


Summary of Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain an industry leading business-to-business application using the following technologies and methodologies:
  • WPF User Interface (C#)
  • SQLite Database
  • Cloud/Service integration
  • Agile (Scrum/Kanban)


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Follow design documents to implement solutions using best coding practices for maintainability and greatest flexibility for future enhancements
  • Work directly with Project Managers, UX designers, other developers, QA and Automation engineers to complete tasks quickly and correctly
  • Write unit tests to verify code quality
  • Estimate implementation times based on designs
  • Suggest product improvements
  • Improve overall efficiency of application
  • Regular attendance required


Job Qualifications:
  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering from four-year college or university with minimum 3.0 GPA
  • 5-10 years software development experience, preferably on the Windows platform
  • Ability to create simple and well-designed solutions to complex software problems
  • Fluent in C# with WPF; Functional knowledge of Git, Visual Studio, XML and SQL
  • Working knowledge of software development tools and agile process
  • Experience with Windows-based client/server technologies
  • Ability to work as a team member and independently based on the project requirements
  • Ability to effectively and professionally interact with customers, clients, and other Xactware employees
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
  • Dedication to excellence and willingness to work hard
  • Fluency in a foreign language helpful, especially German, French or Dutch
