Role Purpose 

The role of the Senior Account Manager is to develop business and manage relationships with Investment Banking organizations. 

Main Responsibilities
  • Meet and exceed sales target by retaining and growing sales revenue from current and new clients from Wood Mackenzie’s range of research and consulting offerings
  • Build effective client account teams: develop and implement successful account plans to provide clarification on the strategy and size of potential opportunities
  • Develop both senior and user-level relationships to proactively understand the client's needs.  Work with wider Account teams to successfully embed research solutions into the customers workflow across all levels.
  • Ensure that there is a high level of timely communication and engagement both internally and externally
  • Build and maintain knowledge of industry trends, competitors, and leading customer growth strategies
  • Develop & maintain a working knowledge of all services/products offered by Wood Mackenzie and its competitors in order to determine opportunities and threats

Knowledge & Experience Required
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience is required, including experience in a international professional services or data & analytics organization with exposure to sales, business development, or consulting during that time
  • Experience selling market intelligence to various functions within an Investment Bank is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to develop relationships across all levels in a complex global organization
  • Ability to demonstrate bigger picture understanding of client’s business strategy
  • An understanding of the commodity markets Wood Mackenzie serves would be an advantage
  • Ability to deliver compelling product demonstrations, create new business opportunities, develop and close deals
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills and outstanding presentation abilities
  • Previous experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce would be an advantage.
  • Commercial Track record in developing clients and establishing a trusted advisor relationship
  • Minimum of Bachelor degree in related field
  • Self-motivated, confident, energetic, proactive, results oriented
  • Client-focused with strong relationship management skills, demonstrating credibility, integrity and professionalism
  • Engaged and passionate in their commitment and approach to the role and to the company
  • Ability to present complex solutions to clients
  • An intellectual curiosity about how data and analytics solves critical business issues
