What does this Project Manager do…

This Project Manager will lead overall product strategy and coordinate technical product development to deliver geospatial and remote sensing solutions specifically to insurance company personal and commercial lines underwriting and risk management business. They will provide technical expertise and training to other departments in support of product development and manage the day to day progress of our product.

What skills you’d need…

This position requires a minimum of 5 years of insurance underwriting experience. Both residential and commercial underwriting experience is highly preferred.

An ideal candidate would also possess 2-5 years of project management related experience, working with a software related company.

Requirements:

1. BA/BS in Business or related field.

2. Minimum of 5 years of insurance underwriting experience. Both residential and commercial underwriting experience is highly preferred.

3. Minimum of 2 years project management experience or a combination of equivalent work-related experience.

4. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

5. Strong organizational, planning, and coordination skills.

6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

7. Able to work well within tight deadlines.

8. Ability to prioritize.

9. Proficient in MS Office, Jira, Visio.

10. Participates in overall product strategy, research and development requirements, development, and manufacturing coordination for new and emerging products.

11. Coordinates technical product development, estimates of potential profits, and release to production.

12. Manages day-to-day progress of product.

13. Provides technical expertise and training to other departments in support of product development.

14. Collaborates with a wide variety of functional areas such as sales, support, marketing, documentation, and operations to develop and provide product definitions responsive to customer needs and market opportunities.

15. Develops and maintains a prioritized list of customer and market requirements for product.

16. Coordinates and develops marketing, sales, engineering, and financial plans for product line.
