We are hiring a Product Specialist within our Personal Lines Product Management line of business out of either our Jersey City, NJ or Atlanta, GA locations.


In this role, you will:
  • Identify and recommend enhancements for product improvement the will lead to increased market share and accelerated revenue growth.[RJ1]   Lead (with direction) prioritization of product enhancements (sprint direction and backlog grooming)
  • Expert at the product “inner workings” (work closely with documentation specialist to understand the current state of the product)
  • Point of contact in the organization for customer inquiries with regard to how the product works
  • Point of contact for internal Verisk groups (e.g. data quality team, account management) for resolution of issues or questions on functionality or other product questions



  • Bachelors degree. 
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in an underwriting or product role with insurance company, vendor, or related.
  • Strong analytic aptitude required.  Must be able to assess and address problems as well as understand detailed customer workflows in order to identify opportunities for improvement. 
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, revenue generating environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and a professional demeanor.  Must be able to communicate on a business and technical level.
  • Familiarity with tools such as: SQL, Python, Tableau and Excel.
  • Familiarity with the auto P&C markets, Verisk products, and competitor’s offerings.
  • Sales & solution minded
  • Experience with gathering and assessing competitive intelligence
  • Ability to travel periodically (e.g. once per month) to Verisk offices, customers, business partners, and industry events.
