Verisk’s Corporate Marketing division is looking to hire a talented Marketing Manager to manage all marketing initiatives for Verisk’s mergers & acquisitions including development of marketing strategy and communications, creating and updating marketing materials related to M&A, and promoting a consistent approach to M&A integration.

This position is based in our Jersey City, NJ office, conveniently located across the street from the Newport path station.  Just one stop from Christopher Street, we’re an easy 10-minute commute from lower Manhattan (and about 20 minutes from Brooklyn).

Role Overview

As Marketing Manager, M&A, you will liaise with other members of the marketing team as well as business unit, business development, and leadership team business unit, business development, and leadership team to influence, refine and execute marketing strategy and playbook for Verisk’s mergers & acquisitions.  In collaboration with corporate marketing, the successful role holder will create marketing materials needed to support the strategy, including branding, press releases, brochures, web pages, white papers, articles, blog posts, reports, and more.  Responsibilities will also include competitive and market research, plus developing and implementing metrics to measure effectiveness of marketing initiatives and campaigns.

Necessary qualifications for success:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing/Advertising (or related field of study) required

• Min 5 years of integrated B2B marketing experience, preferably specific to mergers & acquisitions

• Ability to manage projects from conception through completion and the ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines simultaneously

• Excellent communication skills including the ability to draft and deliver key messages across diverse stakeholder groups and create strong written communications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite 

• High level of business acumen with a mind-set of continuous improvement 

• Sound judgement and sound decision-making to communicate on an executive level and maintain a high degree of confidentiality.

• High level of motivation, integrity, self-confidence and the ability to take initiative; collaborative team player with proactive approach.    

• Experience working under tight deadlines and a fast-paced environment

• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment

• Very organized and ability to manage time, relationships, schedule multiple meetings, and stay on top of multiple communications

• Strong analytical skills, ability to solve problems and attention to detail are key
