GVAir, a division of Geomni, is currently seeking an experienced and professional Aviation Maintenance Manager to join our team in the Lehi, Utah location.  The Aviation Maintenance Manager’s primary responsibility is to manage and oversee the service, repair and overall maintenance of all aircraft in the GVAir fleet while ensuring adherence to budget and schedule constraints.  In addition, you will ensure that all aircraft are safe to fly and compliant with FAA regulations. 

The Aviation Maintenance Manager will serve as a leader with a demonstrated ability to translate initiatives and strategies into effective action plans, timelines and individual goals throughout all locations.  Your passion for delivering safe, high quality, on time aircraft maintenance to our operations team will be instrumental to your success in this role.

As an integral part of the Aviation Management team you will be accountable to direct and lead all maintenance personnel, processes and teams.  You will align the key stakeholders and customers to ensure the company goals and key objectives are met.

Additional Essential Functions include:

Responsible for comprehensive delivery of aircraft maintenance services across the organization.  This includes the design, development, and implementation of short term, intermediate and long term operational plans in the context of our vision and mission.

Performs quality and preventative maintenance and inspections to achieve the highest reliability goals.

Coordinates maintenance plans with operations personnel to build and verify accuracy of the daily and weekly flying schedule. Tracks daily maintenance status of the fleet and directs maintenance priorities. Ensures completion of scheduled maintenance activities. 

Coordinates with Operations for the scheduling of aircraft maintenance to coincide with mission priorities; schedules and conducts training programs for maintenance personnel; strives for quality levels of the highest standards as prescribed by Federal Aviation Regulations and working safety standards; 

Collaborates and Communicates effectively with the Senior Management team.

Responsible for fleet and work environment safety.  Ensures that any unsafe work conditions or incidents are reported in a timely manner.

Reviews and ensures all entries in the aircraft logbooks and permanent records are accurate and preserved in accordance with company and FAA requirements.

Adheres to procurement policies and obtains approval for new and replacement parts and materials

Accountable for fleet maintenance planning with oversight of inspections, repairs and modifications

Ensures timely scheduling of equipment maintenance to minimize impact on flight schedules.

Prepare and adhere to annual maintenance budget for all aircraft.

Remotely manage maintenance personnel in various hub locations to ensure that all maintenance participants provide timely information, deliverables and execution per schedules

Create and Implement a standard maintenance management framework consisting of processes, templates, controls and assurance activities to meet the objectives of the business.

Provide thought leadership to maintenance activities and lead continuous improvement of processes to streamline and improve effectiveness.

Provide visibility of all major initiatives to key stakeholders

Manage and set expectations that are realistic but aggressive

Ability to travel up with little notice and up to 50% of the time (domestic).


Qualifications/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Maintenance, Aviation Management, or similar subject or ten (10) years aviation maintenance and management experience.
  • FAA licensed Airframe and Power Plant Mechanic with an Inspection Authorization
  • Must be familiar with piston aircraft and maintenance practices and procedures
  • Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of FAA and Aircraft Manufacturer’s forms, publications, directives and service bulletins.
  • Proven ability to set priorities, communicate objective and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
