Role Purpose 

The role of Lead Specialist - Client Solutions is to support the growth in sales (upsell, cross sell, retention & new business development) by providing a comprehensive and customized solutions/training focused engagement programme to support the sales process and ensure that clients extract the highest value from their subscription to Wood Mackenzie research.

Working within Sales and Marketing, the Lead Specialist is a key member of individual account teams and must work across research and consultancy to ensure a consistent client message is delivered. The role will involve travel within region.

Main Responsibilities
  • Engage directly with clients to increase users, usage and support cross sell, upsell, retention and new business development
  • Build and maintain a strong network of relationships with key contacts across our user base
  • Operate positively and effectively in a wide variety of engagement scenarios including training sessions, workflow support, project solutions meetings, and attendance at industry events
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Research and Consulting teams to ensure consistent best-in-class servicing of our clients
  • Show quantitative and qualitative measures of engagement effectiveness, both from a client and commercial perspective
  • Ensure a timely and comprehensive response to client needs
  • Demonstrate resourcefulness and creative approaches to increasing client engagement
  • Record and share all activities, information and materials with colleagues
  • Maintain a thorough working knowledge of Wood Mackenzie research offerings
  • Demonstrate excellence in analyzing client needs, and creating tailored workflow solutions that maximize the value of our content to our clients

Knowledge & Experience Required
  • Excellent working knowledge of the Energy industry
  • 5+ years working as an Energy industry professional
  • A strong network of energy industry professionals is desired
  • Excellent presentation, public speaking, and training/teaching skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly self-motivated
  • Project management
  • Minimum of Bachelor degree in related field
