Verisk’s Human Resources team is seeking a self-starting HR Operations Analyst.  The successful role holder will act as a first point of contact to the wider HR team and business, fielding and directing all HR related requests to quickly, consistently and effectively resolve issues.  The HR Operations Analyst will demonstrate expertise in all HR processes and technology and work collaboratively across HR to resolve inquiries and provide an excellent customer experience. In this role, you’ll also provide HR Operational/Shared services and HR administrative support to the HR Team including but not limited to invoice processing, filing, data entry and auditing, etc.  Additionally, you’ll manage personnel files and I-9s, coordinate and communicate New Employee information in preparation for bi- weekly orientation and benefits orientation.

The day to day expectations of this role are:
  • Serve as first point of contact for customer calls, emails and inquiries
  • Log tickets and issues from customers, track and review tickets
  • Respond to Tier 1 inquiries providing guidance on a number of areas, including HR processes, systems and tools
  • Diagnose more complex issues and escalate or refer to the appropriate HR Operations Team member or appropriate resource within HR or organization for resolution
  • Follow through to ensure that each case if fully resolved
  • Track and report on customer inquiries
  • Track and assess requests and inquiries in order to capture activity, patterns and gaps
  • Ensure complete and accurate data is maintained for reporting and reference
  • Run regular reports to maintain clear view of the inquiries, track to KPIs and other metrics as requested/required
  • Proactively look to improve the HR Operations function processes and tools as needed
  • Continuously build relationships within HR and across the business
  • Meet established customer services goals and standards
  • Complete additional HR projects as needed

The successful candidate will have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or business administration
  • Minimum of two years relevant experience in a similar environment
  • Experience with relevant HR systems, applications, and tools
  • PeopleSoft experience a major plus
  • Advanced MS Office knowledge
  • Knowledge of Human Resources operations and policies and a working knowledge of local statutory regulations as they pertain to HR
  • Able to identify patterns/gaps in behavior and processes and proactively propose/identify solutions
  • Ability to manage multiple requests and priorities simultaneously, with attention to detail, flexibility and project management skills to meet demands and requests
  • Agile learner who can pick up new processes and systems easily and quickly
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships quickly
  • Strong dedication to serving customers
  • Strong judgement, knowledge and experience to make sound decisions
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently, and demonstrate initiative and resourcefulness as a self-starter
