Verisk’s ISO division is looking for a Director/ Principal -Data Services to develop, enhance, and champion ISO's Suite of Data Services Offerings including our Preferred Data Partnership offering as well as the 'Hosting Services' offers.

 

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES

 
  • Exhibit clarity and empathy by addressing customer inquiries related to the Suite of offerings and business case development, and by providing in depth knowledge of the offering and solution options
  • Exhibit detail orientation by overseeing the data services product financials (P&L), establish market and product goals, as well as related capability and product enhancements. 
  • Exhibit initiative and follow-through by facilitating the pre-sales activity of the Product Suite, working with the Sales Teams and Business Partners to scope and price the services appropriately. 
  • Exhibit decisiveness by monitoring effectiveness of the product suite and delivery options, and identifying and overseeing multi-departmental efforts to identify and prioritize relevant enhancements.
  • Exhibit coaching by overseeing activities and development of direct report in support of above duties

 

BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS
  • Completion of four- year college degree; Mathematics, Sciences, Technology or other analytical major preferred
  • Minimum 10 - 15 years of experience in an insurance / financial services company or data service provider role.  Property and Casualty Insurance experience is preferred
  • Deep domain knowledge of insurance systems (policy admin, claims processing and / or statistical data systems) required.  5 years of experience in managing these systems (requirements, coding, testing, etc.), preferred
  • 5 – 8 years' experience working with Data Warehouse and Operational Data Mart Structures, including knowledge of data modeling concepts and related data structures required
  • 5 - 8 years' experience in a consultative engagement environment.  Ability to interact with Sr Executives and Business Leaders, in both a business and technical fashion.  Excellent communication skills required
  • Demonstrated P&L Management and Business Development / Account Management capabilities
  • Insurance Designations (e.g. CPCU, IDMA) or similar professional credentials preferred
