Summary

Verisk Analytics,  a 2017 certified Great Places to Work company, is hiring a Director of Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging to lead our global D&I programs for an organization of 8,000 people in 30 offices worldwide. 

This role works closely with the CEO, Global Head of Human Resources, and the executive team, to expand Verisk’s efforts to build a diverse, welcoming workforce which brings out the best in our people so that we may advance the common good. This is a “player-coach” role, so we are looking for an individual who is both a big-picture thinker and a detail-oriented implementer.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Partner with executive and business leaders to formulate and execute D&I strategy and programs to accelerate our efforts to recruit, develop, and retain our diverse workforce

• Form a global Diversity Council to drive Verisk-wide programs with performance metrics accountable to the global executive team

• Implement global D&I programs and events while cultivating an environment for local, grass-roots efforts

• Work with external organizations to increase diversity in our hiring pipeline, business partners and vendors, and community outreach efforts

• Help cultivate affinity communities and global networks which welcome and advance all Verisk people 

• Advise executive team to ensure equitable standards in recruitment, development, retention, compensation, and promotion

You bring to the table your:

• Curiosity to learn and evaluate industry best practices and leading innovations to Verisk

• Creative thinking to develop home-grown programs which celebrates the diversity of our people and creates an environment where people can do their life’s work

• Collaboration with colleagues across our business units, global offices, and operational functions both within and outside of HR to drive D&I initiatives 

• Interpersonal skills to form meaningful connections with the people of Verisk to understand their needs, ambitions, and challenges

• A deep sense of empathy and love for bringing out the very best in people

• Strong writing and communication skills; you are a great story teller and can sell your ideas

• A self-starter who can deliver amazing results with minimal direction; strong organization and time management skills are a must 

• Ability to work well on a global team and effectively collaborate with employees at all levels

• Bachelor’s degree
