Job Description


As a key member of the Cybersecurity Offerings Initiative, you will help shape the cyber security insurance market, by partnering with government agencies (both federal and state), academia, corporations and insurers. You must be able to innovate and help establish a framework by which cyber risk can be measured and quantified in the marketplace. In 2017, Verisk launched standardized cyber insurance coverage, aggregation risk model and cyber loss indices. You will help make these offerings successful as we continue to launch new ones.


As a senior leader in the Cyber Offerings Initiative you will:
  • Develop and deliver detailed product capability roadmaps
  • Work with various development teams to implement a product roadmap
  • Provide industry thought leadership through white papers, articles, presentations, conferences, and customer conversations
  • Liaise between product, marketing, and sales colleagues to ensure streamlined messaging driven by customer needs and how existing and emerging Verisk capabilities can solve these needs.
  • Facilitate cybersecurity knowledge sharing sessions across Verisk.
  • Leverage customer interactions and market research to identify new product innovations and enhancements, including new cybersecurity data sources, internal integration and external partnership opportunities

  • Bachelor’s degree. Advanced degree and/or insurance designations (e.g. CPCU, SCLA) a plus
  • 10 to 15 years commercial property insurance product, and/or underwriting experience.
  • Familiarity with all segments and occupancies of the commercial property underwriting marketplace in the United States; Clear understanding of the structure, operation and tactics of Distribution channels operating in the United States and Globally.
  • Understanding of the basics of technology and the convergence of software, data, and consulting
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) with internal staff and external stakeholders
  • Comfortable speaking in front of a room full of industry executives but can also dive into the details of a challenging quantitative problem to solve customer needs
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical problem-solving and negotiating skills; business creativity is a must
  • Quantitative background with a focus on high quality data and analytics is a plus
  • 25% travel
