Job Description


 

As a member of AIR’s Consulting Services team, you will provide risk and loss estimation analyses and consulting services to our clients. Use your analytic, project management, and communication skills to ensure our clients understand how to use the information we provide to manage their catastrophe risk profile. You will work closely with insurance/reinsurance underwriters, actuarial professionals, and investment bankers, among others. 

Main responsibilities (but not limited to):   


•Perform sophisticated risk analyses using AIR’s cutting-edge technology for insurers, brokers, and other financial intermediaries in the internationally expanding business of catastrophe risk management 


•Assist clients in using catastrophe information in exposure management and risk transfer analyses, and use of AIR software 


•Work with a high-powered team of professionals to understand and enhance our risk-modeling techniques 


•Enhancements and updating the Cat Bond Database for insurance-linked security investor clients 


•Potential to perform analytics for reinsurance and Cat Bond transactions with direct oversight 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 


•Aptitude for business software applications


•Experience manipulating large data sets using MS Access or MS SQL Server 


•Knowledge of statistics 


•Proactive problem-solving skills and results-orientation required 


•Consulting experience a plus


•Effectively communicate with team members

Requirements: 


•1 + years of undergraduate coursework in a quantitative field of study such as applied math, statistics, actuarial science, or engineering
