Xactware Business Consultant Job Description

The Xactware business consultant is responsible for providing sound council to all clients, product and professional service teams. Xactware business consultants have multiple years of experience within the insurance services arena and using Xactware suite of tools. Business consultants help drive improvements in our clients businesses, identify and minimize issues, and help create strategies for growth. This job requires travel, passion, excellent presentation skills, problem solving skills and creativity. In this role, the business consultant will work closely with sales and account management teams by assisting companies continually improve. Each business consultant reports to the Director of Product & Consulting Services but is expected to be self-motivated and possesses and ability to operate autonomously to achieve organizational goals. A sound candidate for this position is professional, passionate, energetic, knowledgeable, adaptable, humble, and entrepreneurial in nature.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years managing Xactware customer relationships or applicable experience
  • 5+ years managing projects, or equivalent work related experience
  • BA/BS in business or related technical field or equivalent experience preferred
  • Proficient in Project Management best practices and Lean Six Sigma standards
  • Strong organizational, planning and coordination skills
  • Ability to manage priorities and deadlines, and work independently to achieve exceptional results
  • Ability to manage and motivate personnel who are direct or non-direct reports
  • Demonstrated skills in leadership, root cause analysis, coaching, training, and mentoring
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well with team members and other departments
  • Exceptional ability to develop new initiatives and programs within the department
  • Exceptional customer service focus and skills
  • Exceptional problem solving, change management, user adoption, analytical and negotiating skills
  • Proficient with MS Office, MS Project, Visio, and Workfront
  • Strong knowledge of property insurance claims workflows, processes, and common KPI’s

 Principal Responsibilities and Essential Duties:
  • Create and manage consulting programs and initiatives to promote process improvement, improved client relationships, customer success as well as to expand product and services offerings.
  • Generate new consulting opportunities by working with Product, Professional Services and Sales teams.                                                                                    
  • Mentor product consultants and product specialists.                                                              
  • Promotes projects that improve client workflow and efficiency, and increase Xactware revenue.
  • Facilitates communication with other departments to ensure efficient and quality interactions.
  • Partners with Sales to assist with Sales Engineering, and act as liaison and advocate between clients and Xactware.
  • Assists in setting budget and managing team finances.                                                 
  • Travel required when appropriate.                                                         
  • May perform some Account Management duties.                                           
  • Completes all responsibilities as outlined on Performance Plan.            
  • Completes all special projects and other duties as assigned.                   
  • Performs all duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
