Position Summary:

Our business is seeking an experienced BI Developer to primarily serve as an experienced technical resource for the Tableau development community as well as other data infrastructure solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, deploy, and maintain Tableau Server v10.4+ in clustered environment with external load balancers and web application firewalls
  • Implement and monitor Tableau Server environment health checks
  • Administer Tableau Sites, Groups, and User Entitlement Administration
  • Assist developers with Tableau workbook/dashboard performance troubleshooting and optimization
  • Configure and support Identity Management solutions with Okta/LDAP/Active Directory
  • Interface with product teams to gather requirements and deliver complete BI solutions available within Tableau.
  • Continually improve-establish ongoing reporting and analysis process
  • Automate and simplify self-service support for internal business clients
  • Develop programming logic, test and troubleshoot programs utilizing the appropriate hardware, database, and programming technology
  • Design and build architecture to support secure and scalable data source
  • Assist in evaluating business unit requirements data integration and visualization
  • Respond to community questions and recommend/develop innovative methods and efficient solutions as required
  • Create/maintain documentation for deployed BI platform architectures
  • Build cross-functional relationships with other teams
  • Support decision-making processes by delivering accurate and timely analysis
  • Proactively seek opportunities to broaden and deepen knowledge base and proficiencies. 
  • Share acquired skills with peers and user community through formal and informal channels
  • Complete responsibilities as outlined on performance plan, special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • 5-10 years of Business Intelligence experience, specifically with 3+ years on Tableau development including server administration
  • Strong experience with Windows 2016 Server and/or Linux operating system administration
  • Experience with RDBMs, SQL Server and interactive SQL programming
  • Working knowledge of Amazon Web Services (EC2, Redshift, Snowflake)
  • Familiarity with TIBCO Spotfire and/or ESRI ArcGIS is a plus
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel 2016, Proficiency with PowerPoint 2016
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and flexibility to innovate new approaches/solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be experienced in successfully explaining technical results to technical and non-technical audiences to provide transparency into metric processes
  • Candidate must be self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team.
