 Responsibilities Include:
  • Manage and coordinate on an ongoing basis the administration of a self-funded benefits plan, and assist in the development of strategy, policy and framework.
  • Research pension/retirement and benefit related external factors with the potential to have an adverse impact on the Group or which provide the opportunity for realizing competitive advantage. Monitor changes to and ensure compliance with local pensions/retirement and other benefits legislation.
  • Manage and monitor benefits administration team
  • Support in due diligence and benefits-related activities associated with mergers and acquisitions
  • Support new ventures through development of appropriate benefit programs
  • Investigate new benefit programs, improve existing programs.
  • Respond to or manage ad-hoc employee benefit queries from local HR and the Businesses and provide solutions that align with the benefits policy and governance framework
  • Facilitate or manage benefit change projects which could include the design, communication and implementation of new or existing benefit plans
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual report
  • Work closely with brokers globally in conducting benchmark analysis to identify trends in industry and with competitors to provide locally competitive benefits programs
  • Partner with Finance to reconcile benefit billing and ensure accurate and timely payment of vendors. Track benefits spend, analyze trends, and ensure proper inputs for annual budgeting process
  • Administers and maintains an effective wellness strategy for the company through programs and initiatives intended to benefit the health and well-being of employees.
  • Manage third-party vendor relationships to ensure efficient and effective administration of all benefit plans. Continually evaluate and improve processes.

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in HR Management or related field)
  • CEBS professional designation or equivalent preferred
  • 10+ years related benefits or employee benefit administration experience required
  • Experience managing vendor/broker relationships
  • Experience creating and driving a thriving wellness program
  • Ability to build and maintain working relationship with global HR contacts.
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically, analyze, listen, clarify, solve problems and work independently
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent communication and organization skills are required.
  • Ability to present to management.
  • Project and team management/leadership skills and experience.
  • Proven ability to manage and work effectively in a team environment with associates.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions.
  • Ability to understand, evaluate and make judgment on the proposals (RFP’s).
  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize MS Word, Excel, and Power Point.  Experience with PeopleSoft or other HRIS software preferred.
  • Excellent knowledge of benefit contract language and plan designs.
  • Experience with self-funded plans, multiple plans and remote locations preferred.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of process improvement / automation
