The Commercial Property Commercial Property Actuarial Product team is looking for a near-ACAS, ACAS or FCAS to:
  • join our team and contribute their knowledge and experience in the Property and Casualty arena in a way that could help shape changes to the entire industry
  • Be part of the team that leads the innovation and updates of Commercial Property insurance programs in response to the changing business environment
  • Produce quality results and bring customer focus into everyday operations

 

More specifically, we expect you to:

 
  • Lead projects that target on developing enhancements and innovations to actuarial products and procedures for Commercial Property and Commercial Property Earthquake
  • Maintain a high level of customer service through product presentations, quick and accurate responses to customer inquiries, and leading panel meetings or other customer forums
  • Provide actuarial analyses in supporting, maintaining and updating existing Commercial Property actuarial products
  • Collaborate with other divisions in ISO Underwriting in reviewing and checking Commercial Property loss cost reviews and ad hoc projects
  • Interact with regulatory authorities to present updates and innovations to ISO filing procedures, and support filings of loss cost reviews and related products, including, at times, representing ISO Underwriting at meetings with state insurance departments and industry groups

 

Qualifications

 
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
  • Familiarity with catastrophe and predictive analytics modeling preferred
  • Working knowledge with SAS, SQL, Access and Excel, VBA, Syncsort in TSO --- some experience with project oriented programming such as JAVA would be a plus
